I dont think its fair for anyone to pass Floyd until he loses, e****ally when most likely he will have a big fight in his next one, no matter if its Oscar, Margarito, or whoever.
I dont see how Winky can pass Floyd when Floyd has a good resume and hasnt lost but Winky has a few losses and even his big wins have been suspect. He beat Shane but Shane had already just come off of 2 losses to Forrest, and ****ty showing against Marquez, and hasnt looked good even after the Winky fights until he beat Vargas who is also shot.
If he beats Taylor then its a good win but Taylor is still very green and most people dont even think he beat Hopkins anyway.
If Taylor wins then he will be undefeated but his resume isnt as good as Floyd's.
People are dissing what Floyd has done lately but he still has better wins then people will admit. No other fighter in the world would be ripped for beating Zab, Mitchell, Gatti, Chop Chop, and N'Dou when alot of people thought he would beat Floyd.
If any fighter just fought all those guys in a row then we would be giving them props. Its funny to me how people love to trash Floyd's win over Gatti but then all the same people talk about is how they would love to see Gatti vs Hatton, Gatti vs Cotto, Gatti vs Margarito and most of them think that Gatti has a very good chane in all those matches. Its like Floyd gets penalized for how easily he killed him but if anyone else then they think Gatti is a big fight.
Its funny to me how people rip Floyd's win over Zab but then alot of the same people think that Zab right now would beat or give problems to Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, Castillo, or whoever. You cant name but a few guys who wouldve beat the Zab that fought Floyd.
Calzaghe is a great figher but people sweat him just because he beat Lacy? So what. That win isnt far different from Margarito's win over Cintron. Lacy hadnt fought anyone that good and was still very green.
There is no way that Winky's resume matches Floyd and thats with Floyd being undefeated.
Then people dont never add the weight factor into anything. Floyd is beating all these guys at bigger weights while Winky beat a Mosley who looks so small at 154 and started at lightweight, then he beat Tito who was coming out of a 2 year retirment, and started at 147, and was just dominated and KO 2 fights before. Now Taylor is fighting Winky who is moving up. All these wins would be like Floyd beating up on guys like Pac, EM, or MAB. Floyd was so small compared to guys like Castillo & Chico, but now they are still at 135 and Floyd is about to fight a great fighter in Oscar at 154. How crazy is that? He should get mad props for that because those other 2 guys are still bigger then Floyd and we all know that.
Taylor has no good wins on his resume besides Hopkins. People always look at the big wins but no one looks at the 2nd level wins that I think are very important. Taylor never beat any guys before Hopkins that were like, Jesus Chaves, Genero Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez, a prime Angle Manfredy, Goya Vargas, Jukko, Augustus, and so on.
People act like that Taylor beat the Hopkins of 5 years ago. Anyone knows that Hopkins wouldve killed Taylor so stop acting like that win is better then what it is.
The bottom line is that whoever wins this fight will be in good shape but they cant pass Floyd and dont deserve too but you will have alot of haters that puts them pass him. Look at Winky's last fight? This guy looked like **** against Soliman and he lost like 5 rounds and maybe even more. If Floyd had a fight like that against a opponent like Soliman then this board would be ripping him and he would be dropped from #1 even after a win. People tried to take up for Winky by saying styles make fights and Soliman is unorthodox. So. Were talking about being the best fighter in the world. You should be able to beat anyone's style, e****ally a C-level guy like him.
Im a big Paulie fan and I think he can be a great fighter but he still hasnt really beaten anyone, yet you have alot of people on here and media people bragging over his win. Im not upset about that but dont give Cotto all those props for those kind of wins and diss Floyd for beating these proven guys who have alot of experince. Dont diss Floyd's win over Gatti but drool over a Cotto-Gatti fight. You guys cant have these things both ways.
