Yes, by choice, yes he is. I think they could pull off a 160 catchweight. Punk's "skinny fat", so he's got pounds to shed, Floyd would have to bulk up anyway and he's already been at...what...152? But he rehydrates to 160 on fight night anyway.

I understand people like to say he lost to Castillo. I agree it was his closest fight. But when fighters miss so many punches, I believe over 300, it makes it very difficult to score thoes rounds. So yeah it was close but in my opinion I believe Mayweather won. His punches were more effective. Yeah he missed a lot to in that fight but like I said that makes it hard to score those rounds. So you have to look for effectiveness.

I feel if Mayweather fights MMA he wouldn't do as bad as people believe. He is an extremely gifted athlete. And if you followed him as long as I have you would know there really isn't anybody who trains the way and as hard as he does. When he's training that's all he's doing all day every day in between eating and sleeping. If you put that work ethic into MMA, and as much as I hate them, a successful tune-up fight for McGregor would even the odds quite a bit.

There's simply too much that Floyd doesn't know at this point.

Even if you eliminate all of the Muay Thai/Thai boxing (kicks/knees/elbows/head grappling), Floyd would still be facing a world with boxing, wrestling, BJJ, and judo/grappling.

Floyd will do what he wants to do, but I think his calculus changes drastically the moment he eats that first heavy leg kick on his upper thigh.

CM Punk is basically the level of guy that should be considered, but even then, Punk would be coming into any fight with Floyd coming down from 190lbs (on top of the fact that he's basically been with RufusSport for basically two years at this point).

            It simply doesn't make sense

I think Mayweather is going to do this. Money talks.

He's never rehydrated above 151 - on the scales - ever.

Plz stay in MarGGGarito threads since you can't tie your own shoes correctly like Mr. There's only 3 punches in boxing

If an MMA match between Floyd and Conor becomes another PPV success, you can't blame promoters for staging these circus mismatches. If the paying public is ****** enough to pay , why would promoters risk their fighters against real competition when they can do these low risk high reward circus mismatches. Yeah I'm gonna avoid this like I avoided the entire Floyd-Conor boxing media promotion and event.
