Don King is Bull****ting with HBO

Oh yeah, King is gonna take Trinidad to another network. Don't believe it for a second. King may own Tito but he DOESN'T control the middleweight division. If he wants another big fight for Tito, he better kiss HBO's ass.

King will not see the money he saw for a Tito fight unless it comes from HBO. No other network has that kinda dough.

“I'm serving notice that I don't think that I will be with HBO anymore,” Don King stated on Saturday after the Felix Trinidad-Ricardo Mayorga slugfest. “I have a contract to fulfill on November 13th and Tito has one fight (with HBO). I think we're all just about had enough of the double standard that they (have) displayed." King went on to explain the source of his fury. "Ross Greenberg (HBO President of Sports) told me that he would allow the microphone to be open (during the in-the-ring post-fight interviews) by Larry Merchant, to promote the heavyweight fight on November 13th, and as usual, he didn't do what Ross Greenberg said." King added, "Ross Greenberg just thinks he's the boss, but he really isn't the boss. It's Larry Merchant. So therefore, I'm serving notice that I don't think that I will be with HBO anymore.”

"It's all HBO's way or it's no way," King continued, "They've got guys in there who are trained to keep Don King off the camera, to not let Don King be seen, yet I'm the laborer. It's almost like slavery. You do the work and they get the pay and they're be the master. I can't work like that!"

King charged that HBO gave him six days to promote Mayorga-Trinidad, but added, "They gave (Bob) Arum six-months to promote Oscar De La Hoya and Bernard Hopkins, for that swimming session that they had in the ring."

King also claimed, "They are an undermining network that goes out and steals your fighter. You find that you think your with somebody and you say charge, and you go up the mountain and you got daggers in your back and you look like a porcupine." King said he might take the advice of President George Walker Bush on economic empowerment and start his own network.

He is just trying to get them to kiss his ass. If they had any sense they wouldn't. King hasn't a leg to stand on and he has to know it.
