Comments Thread For: Golovkin Promoter: GGG Wants Canelo, NOT Looking For Way Out!

Regardless of what is being said or claimed by those at Golden Boy Promotions - IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin is not looking to withdraw from his planned rematch with Canelo Alvarez. On Tuesday, Golovkin lashed out at Canelo - claiming the Mexican superstar's failed drug tests from February, which came up positive for clenbuterol, was just a taste of Canelo's drug usage.

Golovkin and his team have spent years trying to get the Canelo fight. They're not going to back out now when there is $20M + on the table.

I wonder what the fight would be like if both took a hair test?

Yeah that's the problem, shouldn't have waited 8 months for a rematch. Should have fought 2 months ago, not only good to stay active but that would have added another couple million in the bank. Dummy's

That's true, it's a huge financial opportunity loss for GGG but it's not his fault at all so he will just move onwards.

GGG is a loser in this situation but Caneloterol is the biggest loser of all losers from the fallout of his positive tests. GBP loses big too.
