There doesn't seem to be many exciting options for Calzaghe to choose from, Hopkins looks to be retired, and theres no real superfight at super middleweight, Tarver lost to Hopkins so he's out of the picture, theres talk of a match between either Wright or Taylor, but surely the ultimate respect Calzaghe would get, would be if he skipped a divison and took on the best the cruiserweight division has to offer, it would be very dangerous of course, but out of the question? I don't think so.

He would get killed at CW and loose some of his speed which lets face it is what got him so far.

He won't fight Glen Johnson unles Glenn starves down to 168, but he's going to jump to Cruiser?

          Unlikely.

I personally think his most exciting option would be to fight Clinton Woods. Woods has improved a lot over the past couple of years, and it would be a great domestic showdown, as well as having a belt at stake too.

Thats about 32 pounds, he has fought his whole career at this weight, and is 33 years old. No way, thats too much at once and at his age.

actually he dont want glen "starve" to make weight.

there was a "CATCH" WEIGHT. to make things fair.

What do you mean a 'catch weight' to make things fair.

It's Light Heavyweight, and Johnson is a Lt Heavy.

                  Move up, or don't.

Don't start demanding fights at weights that don't exsist.

Johnson is the #2 guy in the division, and Calzaghe wants him to move down in weight.

Notice how Hopkins fought the #1 guy at Lt Heavy and did so by going from 160 right to 175?

This calling guys out at catch weights is sad.

The thread is about him moving to Cruiser. I think he should move to Lt Heavy before there's talk of moving to Cruiser.

Calzaghe always looks very weight drained at weigh ins, so this talk of him not wanting to move up in weight is strange, but thats Calzaghe, hard to work out.
