I think Golovkin knows this a very winnable fight for him and it's the biggest money fight he'll ever have. So he obviously wants it, but by shaming Canelo publicly and likely forcing him to change his pre-fight preparation could be the strategy here.

    or.....

he could be trying to get an easy win to break Hopkins record, because his run will likely stop in May

    * GGG does not sound very keen to get in the ring with Canelo
    * Sanchez is clearly spooked
    * I do not think that fight is highly winnable at all

only drawing that possible conclusion because Golovkin has made an art-form out of taking the fights he wanted, and passing on the fights he didn't want

This just shows that he fully believes Canelo when Canelo said he was knocking Grovelkin out. He wants to get out of this fight and run to a non puncher like Saunders. He's hoping atleast....

that is exactly how it sounds

there are easier ways to break Hopkins record than by going life and death with Canelo

I am sure a hastily arranged subpar opponent would fit that bill nicely

that is not the same thing, or even close

first, Canelo is roided to the gills on clen, now everyone is convinced he used HGH?

not sure if it is possible to make HUGE fkn nostradamus predictions based on a pic?

          also.....

first, the golov-crew ran around calling 155lb Canelo a middleweight..... now, he needed HGH to move up to 160?

I would like an expert opinion, or even an biased one..... coz that makes no sense at all

NOT..... saying that Canelo is clean
My understanding is that Clen is a masking agent while tapering off HGH and other anabolic steroids. I’ve been very inquisitive about it with some of my boxing and body building friends. According to them, which is not law of course, is that it helps the body cover the isotope ratios. They are trustworthy users of PEDs. Any way you wanna look at, IMO, Clenelo looks suspect as he//. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion my friend

If Canelo wins, many people won't accept it because they'll say he is a PED doper.

If he loses, they will say he is a total loser because even doping, he still lost.

I think Canelo's boxing career, or at least his stardom status, is over now. The interesting question is, who will take his place? Will he be a doper as well?

Nah, that's not cool to still cheer on someone for trying to cheat in the most dangerous sport in the world!

GGG is gonna make Canela pay and pay dearly, i already went on his IG and told him to watch Mayweather vs Maidana 1 and fight Canela like that!

Fight dirty, hit him on his hips, behind the head, lock up his arms, hold an hit, headbutt him then low blow, forearm in the throat, elbow punch, tackle him if he gets on his bike, etc.!

I would not fault GGG for doing any of the above things I said, he's fighting the judges, Golden Boy, the ref, The NSAC and ignorant fanboys!

                    interesting

                    fair point !

I just don't think that Canelo needed, or would benefit from, HGH

Records are fine and all, but this is a $20M+ payday, that he'll never get again and he and his team know that. At his age, it will be the last one he ever gets.

Is Hopkins record and $3M more important than fighting Canelo for $20M+? His team can say what they want, but it's hard to escape that reality.

I believe it's purely strategic to affect Canelo's pre-fight preparation and try to get the fans on his side.

If he doesn't fight Canelo than who's next? BJS isn't going to be ready to fight again until later in the year. That leaves a fight with Charlo, who is young and maybe more dangerous than Canelo. I don't see the upside of the fight getting cancelled.
