What Tank needs is to MAKE WEIGHT, and beat former Featherweight champion Jesus Cuellar on April 21st, for the WBA 130lb. title!

Yup, the hardest part of it all will be making weight because Cuellar will be a highlight reel KO for Davis.

Funny thing is Machado is the WBA Champion, Cuellar is #1, Mensah is #2, and Davis is #3. Why didn't Machado fight Cuellar, and Davis fight Mensah?

I still don't get it? Is Machado making more money fighting Mensah than Cuellar? The WBA order Machado to go into a purse bid with #2 Mensah, but not the #1 contender Cuellar? Maybe I got the ranking order wrong?

The purse bid is scheduled for February 29, 2018, between champion Alberto Machado and mandatory challenger Rafael Mensah for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super featherweight title was postponed until March 2.

honestly its futile trying to understand it. its impossible because in reality the back room dealings decide what happens and we dont have access to them. we can speculate that tank wanted an easy fight so they said we want to fight jesus cuellar coming off a loss and moving up in weight, but we also want to win a belt or be in line for a belt. wba said ok we can work that out for you and so they came up with this plan to accommodate him. and people wonder why robberies always happen. look how much work they have to do! they arent gonna let it all go by the wayside for nothing!

The purse bid for Machado vs. Mensah was ordered in February, way before Tank vs. Cuellar came to fruition! I just don't understand why they ordered the Champ to face #2, instead of #1? And I thought the WBA was trying to get rid of multiple champions? How can both fights be for the WBA title?
