wilder hits harder than bowe. obviously bowe, a very skilled boxer, beats wilder, a novice, but let's not act like wilder doesn't hit harder.

Lol, you guys keep saying 90s was a great era. In that era 45 old Foreman was a world champ.

Ortiz, Wilder, AJ all hit harder than Lewis and would never go the distance with the likes of Levi Billups. This era contains the hardest punchers off all time in HW history based on their KO ratios/resumes. Like I said, everyone's logic gets flipped. When Lewis doesn't KO Billups it's because he's got an iron chin, when Bowe doesn't KO Tubbs it's because he's got an iron chin. It's too funny.

Holyfield was getting hurt by Moorer (LHW), Bowe (couldn't even KO Tubbs while a journeyman did) and Toney (MW), not really an iron chin.

Jennings proved his chin vs Wlad eating his punches for a full 12, he also showed his class in out performing Pulev, Thompson, Haye, Pedvetkin, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Watch, etc. One of Wlad's toughest fights ever. To say he wasn't world class after that performance is laughable.

Wilder-Sconiers is irrelevant, Wilder didn't have 100+ amateur fights like Bowe did. He's made leaps and bounds in the pros, Bowe on the other hand was lackluster throughout his career, getting dropped by little Holyfield, close fight with Tubbs, and when he fought a guy his own size, Golota, he was getting beat up.
Billups didnt survive against Lewis solely due to chin. He survived because he was very cagey and didn't let Lewis hit him with the frequency of Moorer. There's alot more to boxing than chin and power. Ever heard that styles make fights? Emanuel Steward also said that Prince Naseem hit the pads harder than any fighter he ever trained. Does that mean he hit harder than the heavyweights? Does the fact Barrera didn't go down in their fight mean Barrera has a better chin than any heavyweight? Jennings fought Wlad at the end of he's career, just before Fury outclassed him and Joshua stopped him. Wlad often didn't go for stoppages. He let Haye go the distance, a man stopped by two cruiserweights. By your logic Carl Thompson hits harder than Wlad. He let Byrd take him the distance once, a man who got a stopped at lightheavyweight. See how daft your type of logic is? Jennings never knocked out a world level fighter. Non puncher. Ortiz never fought a puncher. No proof of an iron chin. Wilder may have improved since Sconiers, but since you want to bring up Holyfield against Qawi all is relevant apparently. Wilder was an olympian, not a novice. Please keep up. Ortiz was a sick man, had high blood pressure, was stopped by exhaustion from being in bad cardio shape. Golota was when Bowe was at the end, shot. He had decreased by leaps and bounds. This can't be cited if Wilder Sconiers can't be because we are either seeing the relevance of stage of career or we are not. Which is it?

Foreman threw a lucky punch, a punch that never left him. He was beaten by all the other good heavies of the day. Hed lost every round from Moorer. These days, we got the WBC champ behind a getting beat by an old fat man with high blood pressure who gassed and who's best performance was year earlier against a non punching football player. Imagine someone like Molina troubling any of the 90s champs? Just a fat guy AJ crushed without being touched.

Billups was already stopped 3x and had had lost 2 to mostly journeymen. If you actually watched the fight Billups was NOT in survival mode, at points he was even backing Lewis into the ropes. Billups was eating clean punches on the chin same with a guy like Mavrovic who is barely 6'3 215lbs! Even Szpilka is 230lbs.

Steward specifically said Wlad hit harder than Lewis and I believe it, especially with that stoppage over Mercer who was old but not a shot fighter.

Golota, Mavrovic, Lewis, Bowe etc. these guys looked MASSIVE vs their opponents because everyone around them was so small. A guy like Whyte is literally the same size as Golota but I bet you don't even realize it because he looks so small next to all his opponents.

Lewis' defense was even worse than Wilder's, it only looked good because everyone around him like Bowe, Holyfield, had crap defense.

I really gotta post a clip of Lewis getting backed into the ropes and eating little 6'3 215lb Mavrovic's punches?

And before you call Szpilka fat lol, dude was in better shape than 90% of Lewis' opponents. Wilder's opponents would look like monsters fighting in the 90's.

-Tyson couldn't even crush part time boxers in 5 rounds like Mitch Green, James Smith, or Ellis. He already got his ass beat by a journeyman in Douglas.

-Mike Mollo would've been remembered as a legend in the 80's/90's like all journeymen were. Journeymen like Mollo were BEATING the champions lol.

Wilder's jab is elite, he dropped Ortiz with it and pumped out 420 vs Stiverne. When you present head movement like Szpilka or a high guard like Duhapas it becomes hard to land. When you give Wilder a target he'll hurt you with jabs.

Old time heavies are some of the worst defensive fighters I've ever seen, back when getting into brawls with obese 42 year old men got you lauded as being an ATG.

And posters wonder why i made a thread of how the Wilder fanbase became the dumbest , which was shut down ?????????

This ranks up there with the other winner from Wilder fanatic two King Hippo , telling me Stiverne has the best right hand in the division !

I can't wait until Anthony Joshua knocks that scumbag Deontay Wilder out. Maybe then, the over-hyping will decrease a little, if not come to an end.

Yup! Deontay Wilder may possibly have the most ******ed fanbase in the history of boxing. Definitely seems like it's the case today.

Wilder is literally being given credit for things he hasn't even proven yet.
