  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Reacts To Wilder Calling Him 'White Man Milking a Brother'

Earlier this month in New York, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) made some controversial statements about Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF, IBO, WBA world champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs). Wilder accused Hearn of being nothing more than another 'white' promoter who takes advantage of a 'black' fighter.

Hearn is such a shyster. Tries to diminish his role and say "I just work for AJ", then goes on to boast about how he makes huge money with his fighters.
Wilder was distasteful in phrasing it that was, but I'm not gonna say he's wrong...

Wilder speaks without thinking. Is their any person here who would rather be in wilders situation over joshuas?

All promoters are dodgy c*nts and Hearn's not much different. What Hearn does do different though, is he's made Joshua a crossover star in the UK. I'm not a massive fan of Hearn or Joshua but he gets his fighters paid exceedingly well (especially when considering some of the "talent" level) and matches them well with regards to longevity–much like Al Haymon does.

The biggest drawback to both of those matchmakers is that the big fights like Joshua/Wilder don't always come off.

Can’t think of many fights the fans demanded that Hearn hasn’t put on.

Brook - Khan maybe. Which other?
