Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury's New Goal - Break Joe Louis' 25 Defense Record

Former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) has made some bold statements over the years, but his most recent even raised the eyebrows of his most loyal supporters. In a recent video, Fury vowed to break Joe Louis' record of 25 consecutive title defences over the next 10 years.

If he can get past Joshua & Wilder I think its NOT that f#cking crazy although it kinda is cuz its a big jump to think current Fury, who we don't really know who he is, can beat either of those guys let alone both. BUT if he did he's gonna have a solid path to attempting it.

Thing also is to he's shown himself to be mentally unstable so even if he gets past Joshua & Wilder who's to say he doesn't have a Oliver McCall moment in his 3rd defense vs Carlos Takam or some such sh^t like that?

So fair play to him for making a big goal like that & I'm rooting on the brother cuz I'm a fan & thought he was the best guy in the division in 2015 & if he can return to 2015 Fury he'll be that again. BUT I ain't betting on it. I'd bet against him getting past Wilder & Joshau + 3 defenses deep right now I think.

He'd be lucky just to get into fighting form and has little chance to re-enter the top 10 heavies.
Overrated bum that will never be back.

There's a better chance Fury never fights again than makes 25 successful world title defenses.

          No

He would have to win 3 fights a year for the next 8/9 years.

          Man, Joe Louis was incredible.

I'll bet good money he never makes a single title defence. This dude is clearly mentally ill.

                  Dude, either FIGHT or STFUUUU.

No one cares anymore, we either see you in the ring or we never wanna hear from you again.

This guy's talking about breaking records when he didn't even defend any of his titles ONCE.

I've always been a Fury fan, but enough is enough, shut the hell up.

Can we please just get a matchup with any combination of Joshua, Wilder, and Fury?
