Taylor vs Hopkins : Only WBC belt on the line!

The WBC is the only sanctioning body that is considering this fight a defense for Taylor's belt.
Neither guys are paying the WBO fees which means if Wright wins, the belt becomes vacated. If Taylor wins or a draw he will retain the WBO belt.
The WBA is looking at this differently. Taylor was willing to pay the negotiated fee, but since Wright refused to pay his share, the WBA is basically saying that regardless who wins the fight, Taylor will be dropped leaving Sturm as the sole champion.

By next week, if Taylor wins he will have the WBC and WBO belt only.
If Wright wins the WBC belt will be his, but the WBO will be vacated.

I think it is great......it makes those ******* orginizations realize that unless they get their **** together fighters don't care about their ****.I read Taylor is paying the WBC and WBO but not the WBA.......but Winky is only paying the WBC.Either way belts or no belts the winner is the king of the MW division hands down.....thats the beauty of it.

Hopkins spent 10 ****ing years to unify 4 (WBC,IBF,WBA & WBO) belts and its all going down the ****ing drain. i dont know why Winky wont pay for the WBO & WBA sanctioning fee. he is getting paid millions and wont pay extra $200k??? i understand Baldomir not paying for the other sanctioning fees, he only got paid $100k and he paid WBC $10,000 for sanctioning fees. this is ****ed up!

The belts don't mean, ****. It isn't the belts that makes the fighter. It is how he overcomes adversity and strong opposition and proving the skeptics wrong that makes him a prize fighter.
