Terrible numbers. For context these would be bad numbers if they were for a HBO Boxing After Dark card or Showtime card. Let alone on ESPN which is not Premium cable it's part of just about every basic cable subscription and in far more homes like 3X more homes. Even worse other minor sporting events that also went head to head with College Basketball did higher ratings on sat. Other then the Valdez fight the Top Rank ratings have been low and this one is just flat out terrible. And last year you take away Loma/Rigo and Manny/Horn and the ratings aren't great. For example last year Loma/Marriaga on ESPN did only 728K viewers.

If Arum thinks he can put on lesser known fighters on ESPN and think they're going to keep showcasing his fights, he can think again.
Ratings were very poor, but come one guys, it was March Madness. Which is second only to like the Super Bowl for general interest..

Lets get rid of the March Madness factor, the fight likely does only about 700K like all the other ones.

I don't have to pay $15 a month for a premium cable network to watch a decent fight. I'll take it.

March Madness excuse leaves out the fact that all the top rank fights this year on ESPN have down weak numbers 700K or lower except the Valdez fight.

It still did worse than college wrestling in that same slot.

One of the purposes of these fights is to get these young up and coming stars to be known...as PPV numbers are down ESPN is a good idea...yiu can't be well known until they showcase you
