Comments Thread For: Hughie Fury: I'll Be World Champion, I'm a World Level Fighter!

HUGHIE FURY has put the pain of his defeat by Joseph Parker behind him. But believes coming close to becoming WBO heavyweight champion will make him a better fighter. Fury, cousin of former world heavyweight champion Tyson, will look to get back on track when he takes on British champion Sam Sexton in Bolton on May 12.

After AJ destroys Parker, diet Fury should camp out as British champ for a couple of years, and let big Fury handle his business, with the other two. Wilder and AJ would ruin his confidence and career. I don't think anybody would blame him for remaining euro level/contender lever for a while at this point.

I personally don't think Hughie is a world level fighter but what I think is irrespective. If he and his team believe that there's only really one way to secure a title shot and that is by becoming the mandatory challenger. No world Champ will give him a shot willingly because his style is a stinker and it will be hard to sell. In order for him to get the No1 position is to have wins over decent opposition. What they could do after the Sexton fight assuming he wins is to go after someone like Helenius then a Brezealle or Martin to get the ranking. I don't think the Sexton fight is an easy one for him so let's see how he performs.

Hughie claims hes world level but hes fighting Sam Sexton for the British HW title hahaha! arent you suppose to at least campaign for a international or European HW title at this stage? you like a Chris E.U bum jr! skip a world title fight for the UK trinket vs. a bum.

Step your game up! Agit Kabayel the EBU champion is a level above you! you domestic son!

Pah, you’re not world champ level, all the guys in your way can punch, you’re too feather fisted to make it.

If he let more right hands vs Parker he might have won.

That said, it is gonna be tough for him to get that title fight. Unless Wilder finds himself really scratching around for opponents and fancies chasing him for 7-8 rounds
