At this point, if Whyte survives the bout with the Aussie, I wouldn't mind Wilder taking his head off so we don't have to hear about his journeyman level azz anymore.

Whyte is an average boxer with a good chin, good power, average conditioning and subpar defence. He doesnt move his head or feet enough to avoid Wilders shots nor is he offensively gifted enough to get to wilder the way one needs to be able to put him away. AJ put Whyte OUT, no way Wilder touches him and doesnt do the same. Wilders biggest HW problem imo? Tyson Fury. A tall strong quick HW with agility mobility a boxing IQ and stamina. Plus Fury being so big has enough power to keep guys modest. Only problem is Fury would likely be favored by decision but Wilder has proven that even late in a fight, being behind, behing outboxed, after being hurt and seemingly tired, he can STILL put you away. Would be an interesting fight him vs Wilder.

Those are 4 tough fights in a row so of course he is going to take his foot off the gas and trade Wilder for an easier fight first.
He is an athlete at the end of the day who isn't even in his prime yet so why risk the battle scars this early on.
It's a smart career plan and the fights will happen but us fight fans need to just be patient, fear and 'ducking' doesn't come into it.
