Hearn has LITTLE to do in terms of "promoting" the guy - the brits worship him.....Lennox was their LAST bonafide undisputed champ but they felt & still feel conflicted with his Canadian(Olympics), Jamaican(style), & Brit identity! Many still have major issues with him.
America has 24/7 sports on TV & radio here - literally, there's sports OVERLOAD here! 1.2million on Showtime clearly will translate into a PPV bonanza for a Wilder vs Joshua. Many will now tune in, partly due to the idol worship that takes place over there in the UK......

Did you also know that Wilder announced the Ortiz fight before AJ announced the Parker fight?
This Wilder guy is hilarious. He’s beating the drum for himself getting crackhead Americans to buy into AJ ducking him when AJ is fighting champions, mandatories and undefeated opponents one after the other. It’s good fun, but we all know AJ isn’t scared of Wilder. Come on now.

"A heavyweight prospect clash between Bryant Jennings and Deontay Wilder has reportedly been turned down by Golden Boy Promotions, representing Wilder. The fight would have aired on NBC Sports on December 8, when Jennings is slated to headline in Philadelphia."
https://www.badlefthook.com/2012/9/2...ts-boxing-news
That's one...here is another...
"American Bryant Jennings (19-1) posted on his Instagram account that he planned to take Wilder's belt on Jan. 9, but Jennings' promoter told ESPN that fight wasn't in the cards."
"There have been rumors swirling on social media that heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings might get a shot at titleholder Deontay Wilder in January, but Jennings' promoter Gary Shaw told ESPN.com on Wednesday that such rumors are not true. Shaw said he's been told by Wilder’s team that Jennings is not even being considered for such a fight."

So in 2012 and in 2015 Wilder could have fought Jennings but passed both times.

Originally posted by Patsfan bri View PostYes, I have have heard of stipulations before that if 2 guys fight the winner gets a title shot and Hearn is the one who offered Wilder 4 million.
On top of that, Hearn offered 4 million for Wilder to fight Whyte. When has Haymon/DiBella paid Wilder even close to that amount to fight anyone?

But any idiot with half a braincell can see that Joshua (20 fights, fought 5 championship fights, 2 mandatories incl against Klitschko) isn't afraid of a someone who stepped up once in 40 fights.
... guess that counts you out.
