People are impatient af. This fight will either happen next or after each Wilder and Joshua have one more defence. If it DOESN'T then we can talk about ducking etc. etc. But to talk about ducking now, whilst AJ's still preparing for a fight himself makes no sense to me, there's just no evidence to suppose that AJ is going to duck apart from bull**** "but he's scared tho, trust me" speculation.

This is the biggest fight in boxing right now, and there doesn't seem to be any reason to believe that it won't happen. But, we all know that money talks in boxing. Haymon and Hearn are experienced enough to know how to generate the most income from a fight and it may be that they feel they'll make more money for themselves, their fighters and everyone else concerned if they wait one more fight. Maybe not, maybe they'll fight next, but it's possible.

For one, Deontay Wilder is FINALLY getting some recognition. He's picking up a lot of fans very quickly now. If he can hoover up enough casuals then the fight will go from a super-fight to something like Mayweather Pacquiao proportions.

I want to see this fight as much as anyone, but I'm willing to wait a short time if it means that we get an event that history will remember for a long time, rather than just another boxing match.

This is heavyweight boxing, I want this fight to be incredible and something that I'll remember for a long time

IF this fight doesn't happen, it will be because Hearn and AJ don't want it to. Point...Blank...Period.

Anyone trying to say otherwise is either heavily biased or does not understand how boxing, especially in a division like the heavyweight division where there is minimal talent to begin with, works.
The number of British "boxing fans" in this thread arguing otherwise just shows how bizarre this sport can get. You must have the mind of a child (or you are a true AJ fan boy) to think this fight shouldn't be next. I don't see any logical argument why it shouldn't. Wilder reached his peak in the US after beating Ortiz. There's no other fight that would make him bigger here and the fight already breaks records in the UK PPV market. "Marinating" makes no sense in this case. The US casual public isn't going to respect Joshua unless he beats Wilder, and the same goes for Wilder.

The truth is, whoever wins that fight becomes a $40/fight fighter in the US market. This isn't hard to see.

        Here we go again

        He scuurred doe!

I mean, he has a fight in 2 weeks vs another champion that he is obviously concentrating on... But he scurred doe!

No other explaination why he hasnt signed to fight yet (other than the unification in 2 weeks)

Amazing how brits are getting accused of bias when most of the yanks on here have swallowed Wilders schtick hook, line and sinker

This Wilder guy is hilarious. He’s beating the drum for himself getting crackhead Americans to buy into AJ ducking him when AJ is fighting champions, mandatories and undefeated opponents one after the other. It’s good fun, but we all know AJ isn’t scared of Wilder. Come on now.
be careful of making too much sense here, these weird wilder fanboys will get you

I genuinely think AJ thinks he can win this fight with Wilder and he can. Hearn, is trying to maximise revenue. Wilder now, keeps shooting off that he's being ducked? Where's the evidence? Calling out someone when they're tied in fights isn't ducking.

The same guy who said he's been calling out AJ since the Wlad fight went over as part of the broadcasting team and picked an argument with none other than Tony Bellew. The same guy reached his hand out to dap AJ after the knockout. Where was the call outs then? Then he gets back home talking about AJ scared. Please.

Windmiller almost got blasted out by a 45 year old fighter. What do you think will happen against a guy half his age who hits harder?

Yep. And Wilder draws nothing. AJ draws 90k in the UK and Wilder can barely draw in the US.

But his fanboys keep saying he's a massive PPV star in US
