  • Ramirez was going to win this fight regardless Imam needed a KO that's why that 120-108 score card was in there just in case. I had it 8-4 Ramirez. Imam doesn't have any defense whatsoever!! He got hit with overhand lefts and rights not to mention he was standing straight up he's lucky he didn't get KO'd. Ramirez was more aggressive and wasn't scared to put it on the line to win. I also felt Ramirez could have stopped Imam if he didn't gas out. Hopefully him and Prograis fight next as scheduled!! That will be a great fight.

      Bob Arum doesn't give a ****.

Belfast is in Northern Ireland (UK), but he went to the Olympics twice for Ireland; tattoos giving the clues, my guess is that Conlan is a Catholic Northern Irishman.

Rather than nuance the conversation, Bob Arum put a leperchan hat on Conlan's head, marketed him almost solely in the Americans of Irish descent markets, and hope that no one cares.

Prograis is the interim champion and mandatory challenger for the full title; if Ramirez balks, Prograis becomes the full champion, with a likely owed mandatory against Josh Taylor at some point.

Thank god Arum took his fighters to ESPN. I got HBO and SHOWTIME but I don't see any reason why boxing should be exclusive to premium television.

And I see there was a 120-108 score card lol wut
The first 4-5 rounds were total pick 'ems, both guys got good work in. Imam looked sharp. Ramirez was going to the body throughout but, after two rounds that featured an extra amount of body work, Imam became a little more stationary and started really getting hit.

It was all Ramirez from there. Imam changed his gameplan in the 9th (I think) and stayed in the pocket throwing bombs, but that was his last stand and the beating continued the rest of the fight. I thought he was going to get stopped for sure.

It was a good enough fight to go back and rewatch dude. It'll be up on espn3.com tomorrow.

                • Great fight!

Ramirez was aggressive throughout fight! The first few rounds were close because of Imam's jabs.

I don't know what Freddie told Ramirez in the corner but I remember what Freddie told Chavez Jr (vs Sergio Martinez). Freddie said "You are getting hit anyways might as well hit back!"

Looked like rockem sockem robots for a while but after the 8th "puro" Ramirez!

                  Free Teddy Atlas!

                    • That was a good fight regardless what some people are saying here.

Imam came to fight and never stopped trying. Ramirez was not going to be denied.

Now they are minimizing Imam when he looked very good the first half of the fight and was dangerous thru-out. Good win for Ramirez. He showed chin, stamina, determination and the ability to adjust. Smart pressure
