i remember a while ago his trainer was in a radio station down here and he was talking about how verdejo likes to party with his friends and go to the casino to gamble...his own trainer talking about it like it was nothing then in christmas he told the same station in an interview how he stopped training like a month before christmas to "vacation" and come back a couple of weeks after january

Boxing doesn't have the infrastructure like other sports(NFL/NBA/MLB), you give these dead broke kids 200k-1 million signing bonus and they think they already made it. Instead of putting the work in they start partying and lose the dedication.
