Brain damage happens if you fight concussed, you’re gonna get hit reguardless so you gotta take the risk if you want to box.

No, definitely don't do it, seriously. Look after your brain as best as you can. I have brain damage from boxing and it's ruined my life. Even before it got to that stage I easily noticed that my brain wasn't working as well as it used to.

Learn the techniques and get fit if you like and maybe do very light or no contact sparring. Just don't let it go beyond that.

To be a successful lawyer you don't need a healthy brain! Just the opposite !
Try coke, booze, barbiturates- Go heavy on them !

As a follower of boxing for over 40 years, I recommend you:

Keep training and practise boxing exercises, it’s great for you.

            But …
Don’t spar! Don’t have any match!
Don’t let anything hit your head!

Most of the top boxers in the game havent shown any signs of slurring speech or losing there mental sharpness, think of someone like david haye for example, hes pretty sharp mentally and articulate and hes been fighting every day since he was a kid, taking shots off of cruiserweights and heavyweights. Freak accidents can occur but thats the same with any sport, i know of a person who died playing cricket by clashing into someones knee when they both tried to catch the ball.
no headguards in the ams in uk anymore
