By Andreas Hale - Oh, so we're really doing this? Apparently, the media cycle has spun into overdrive regarding the possibility of Floyd Mayweather competing in MMA after he told TMZ Sports that he would begin training "soon" with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. "I'm gonna start soon," Mayweather said. "We've been texting back and forth. We talked a couple times, so we gonna start working out real soon...

Similar articles were written 100 times over about how Mayweather-McGregor would never happen. I discount nothing if the money is right.

It’s also no accident that Mayweather is supposedly training with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. This is the same Woodley who has been at odds with UFC president Dana White and has gained a significant following of people who want to see him lose simply because he’s been outspoken about race in MMA.

Lmaooo FOH you reaching too hard. Mayweather and Woodley have been cool for some years now.

It’s always funny to see these writers talk about taking risk. Fighters take a risk each time they step in the ring.

Of course it's for attention. He's managing to succeed in getting everyone to talk about him as well.

The logistics don't work. 1.) The UFC can't cough up that type of money to get him to fight. 2.) 41 years old and once he feels a leg kick, he'll crumble in pain, that's if he manages to avoid getting taken down and submitted. He obviously knows this. 3.) Being undefeated is very important for Mayweather's image. He's not going to risk the lasting image of his fighting career being him getting crumpled or tapping out in a cage.

I think Floyd fit right in at the UFC. If you like watching two guys lay on top of each other in spandex's, all sweaty then go a head and watch the ga y po rn... Mayweather does come off as a "Downlow" type brother.
