Comments Thread For: Haye Expects Joshua To Take Easier Fight Next - Not Wilder

Former two division champion David Haye does not expect a unification between heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder in 2017. Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), who holds the IBF, IBO, WBA world titles, is going to have a unification with WBO champion Joseph Parker on March 31 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

“If you can’t beat Tony Bellew real clean then thinking about any of these big names is just crazy.”

He's finally being honest with himself. As for AJ, he's a protected sissy with tiny roid balls.

Most of the so called champions these days will go for the easier fight for the same money. I just wish one guy would be great enough to take on the very best any time, but thats just wishful thinking nowadays.

AJ will not get the Wilder fight because Parker will knock him out.
Parker will also ko him in the rematch.

Or any days... Even if you go way back to the golden era of boxing you'll find that meaningful fights against top ranked contenders were frequently interspersed with easier match ups.

Boxing is both a sport and business. Promoters and managers are looking to balance risk against reward. Talk of legacy or belts is great, but it's always balanced against that risk reward equation.

I think if Joshua beats Parker haymon and hearn will talk but they won't reach an agreement. AJ will take the long trailed Miller fight and wilder will take an easy fight, maybe brezeale. Each will blame the other for talks failing, there will be talk of ducking etc. A pantomime hiding the underlying business case for building the fight CV and attracting the mainstream US audience and the Ppv riches that follow in their wake.

Wilder fans will be aggrieved and in their righteous indignation will somehow forget the path which wilder and haymon have taken to reach this point. A path which has sought to remove genuine risk at each and every point.

            So it goes.

              Doesnt even make sense !

Joshua will have /had fought Martin ,Klitchko and Parker giving him 3/4 belts ,what past HW fighter in ANY era was in such a rush to unify and become undisputed beyond Mike Tyson ? Do you want handicap matches ,maybe Joshua fights them all the same night ?

If Wilder doesn't play games he gets added to that list and in such a difficult modern era to unify it will only create more hate on here which i thoroughly look forward too from a select group of morons on here a very SPECIAL group .......

He's a unified champion. And Wilder fought his first competitive fight a few weeks ago. Your point?

If Joshua pulls a Keith “ Getback Year” Thurman and takes an easy fight to avoid Wilder he will get creamed in the Press.
If that happens I want Wilder to fight Fury Or Haye if he wins.
