The commission checked Wilder because he took a sustained beating for a full minute and NYSAC just got sued for 30 million for neglect. We’re they protecting Wilder or covering they’re ass?

If the ref was really on his side they why didn’t he give Wilder credit for the flash knockdown in round 2 while Ortiz did slip he was jabbed to the face on the way down.

100% correct on the second paragraph. All the b1tching that’s been going on about what happened between the seventh and eighth, along with the scoring. Folks have ignored that Wilder was robbed of a KD in the second.

On a side note. That wasn’t even close to the first time I’ve seen the doctor call a fight over before the start of a round to check him. I’ve complained about it in the past. Was Wilder helped by it? Probably. But that was far from a unique situation.

I think personally that Ortiz is shocked Wilder took that beating and didn’t even go down once.
