More like no Manny Pacquiao on the undercard to help push Crawford over so no fight
Bob was banking on using Pacman to sell Crawford and Horn PPV
ESPN is going to be pissed that Arum couldnt deliver and that Pac is now promoting his own fights with GoldenboyComment

Yeah, pics or it didn't happen. As everyone's been saying there are several explanations for why this fight isn't going ahead as planned that this injury conveniently covers up. So unless I see some evidence I'm going to go ahead and assume it's not real. Bob probably figures he needs another big name on the bill to justify a PPV, preferably Manny. Honestly I doubt he can convince Manny to go on the undercard, so it actually wouldn't surprise me if the event ends up called off altogether or relocated to Australia as previously suggested.Comment

Same as Ortiz and he was fine. Maybe I am being unfair but it just seemed too convenient since ticket sales at the original arena were so slow.
This injury comes along at a point where the fight wasn't formally announced because it was supposed to be a PPV then Manny backed out of the undercard.
Just seems to convenient.Comment

Why the eff does Bud get all these passes? Dude is 160 pounds in the ring and has never fought anyone his size. And he moved up as soon as Mikey and Prograis got their chance at 140. Now he is picking up a paper title.
Everyone crying about Mikey fighting the #1 ranked jww for a belt, should be up in arms over Bud picking up a paper title from the 6th or 7th best welterweight. Another easy belt and another weight. No wonder Bud only fights bums like Horn, his fanboys eat it up. Hey, Arum has promoted Bud so good, he can sell out in Omaha! Sure, he's less of a draw than Ward, and he's never fought any elite opponent, but lets just praise him as a top p4p fighter.
The reason this is postponed is because Arum has no idea how to scrounge together enough money to pay Bud for taking on bums. Guess what? Horn is the champ and thus entitled to 70% if he wanted. Not getting that I'm sure, but he is getting paid. Then you have to pay Bud 7 figures. And he has been promoted so well, he can sell 50k ppvs.
hbo isn't paying for Bud. espn isn't going to pay him a million plus for fights like Indongo and Horn non-stop. Bob is trying to get Manny on the card so it will sell enough to afford to pay Bud. He fought in August 17 and his next fight is in June 18. Not active and still not fighting the best. At least Horn is about the same size. Which will be a first for Bud. Maybe in another four or five years Bud will finally fight a top ww.Comment

Yes!!!! Arum lost big time money on Bud-Postol. Bob said he needed 75k to break even, it got 50k. And yes, Horn can demand two million, because what choice does Arum and Bud have? If they say no and it goes to purse bid, it doesn't matter who wins, Horn gets at least 70%. He is the champ, Bud is the challenger.
Arum is screwed. He kept putting on the most horrible mismatches and finally hbo said enough, and said they weren't paying for that crap anymore. Espn sure can't afford to give Horn a couple million plus at least another million or two to Bud. And 50k ppvs, sure ain't going to pay for everything.
He was hoping Manny would work for a percentage, which would have been spare change for Pac. Now with no Pac, there is no way to pay everyone.Comment
