Comments Thread For: David Price is Hoping To Fight a "Clean" Alexander Povetkin

Olympic bronze medal winner David Price is training hard for a make or break fight - against undefeated Olympic gold medal winner and former champion Alexander Povetkin. The contest is scheduled for March 31, as part of the Anthony Joshua vs. Joseph Parker card at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Nobody in the heavyweight division, outside of WBC champion Deontay Wilder, has been more affected by opponents using performance enhancing drugs.

Povetkin is a drugs cheat and likely using for this fight if there's no testing, but wasn't Price removed from the WBC rankings for refusing to enrol in CBP after putting on 25lbs of muscle?

      First, learn some grammar.

Second, Povetkin does not need drugs to fight Price nor does he even need a training camp.

And yes... he does get tested as part of WBC program and HAS been tested all along.

For the Wilder fight he was clean the day he was supposed to fight.

The test results that labeled him a "cheat" have a lot of issues, more issues and logically, do not make sense.

In either case, Price is just putting in the excuses.

Price's issues are having a 'Khan chin'; lack of enough skill to protect that chin; and a lack of confidence in the ring knowing he can get sparked at any moment.

In the second fight against Tony Thompson you could see his self-confidence was completely gone, and ever since then, he wilts under any pressure.

Povetkin will put him under pressure.....

Your grammar is far from perfect.

Povetkin could be stoned and still win.

If I were Price I wouldn’t take this fight.
How many times does he need to lose to PED cheats?
The next time he could suffer permanent damage

Pricey, if you aren't having him tested and relying on his word, that peril is on you. He will be yoked if unchecked.
