"Alphonso Costello - Jabs and defense is the name of the game for Winky Wright. However, his skills may be on the decline. Wright showed subtle hints of old age and diminished skills during his last match against Sam Soliman. He inexplicably strayed away from his defensive style and engaged in exchanges with Soliman. Sticking to his defensive scheme is the key for Wright to defeat Jermain Taylor. If Wright strays away from his game plan, Taylor needs to open up and pelt him with a flurry of power shots. Saturday night will mark the end of Winky Wright’s pound-for-pound run.

    Taylor defeats Wright by decision."

I would definitely like to argue with this poster... He says that Wright tried to engaged in exchanges with Soliman as if this was a problem... Well this was NOT a problem and it was very smart for Wright to do this and just shows that Winky knows what is going on in the ring. If Wright would have done nothing but defend in that fight, he would have lost. Wright knows he needs to win the rounds and that made him fight offensively sometimes... There is NO break in punches when fighting solimon(no this isn't how it will be like with Taylor) so there HAD to be a time where Winky came out to exchange with Solimon.

Because Wright made Solimon miss as well as exchanged with him, that made him win the fight. So I just totally disagree where this poster is trying to come from.

If Taylor choose to throw 1300 punches like Soliman did, he will hurt Wright. I just don't see Taylor being that wild, he will probably keep using his jab & some uppercuts.

If Taylor gets lucky and hurts Wright, then he will probably stop him by TKO, Wright defense is too damn good also he can take good punch.

The way Taylor throws with BAD INTENTIONS he would be exausted after throwing around 800 punches. No way in hell Taylor throws that many punches. Solimon throws punches with the force of a toddler. Hell, wasnt Taylor dead tired after throwing around 25 punches a round vs a 41 year old many throwing around 15 a round. Do the math

I feel much better about Taylors chances of winning now that Sergio Martinez picked Winky.

Only the first fight he was tired, because he lost alot of blood and he was chasing Hopkins most of the fight.
