Boxing is built around storylines. I suspect the plan was to fight Broner in the passing of the torch type thing but Broner ****ed up. He had to fight Berto instead.

And I HIGHLY doubt a Floyd vs Adrien fight was ever going to happen. I remember pre-Maidana I was actually wanting to see that at some point, but most cats were saying that ain't happening & I thought there was more of a chance then them, but it was always a tiny chance of it happening & its entirely possible Floyd had no desire for that fight & I know Broner didn't wanna fight big bro cuz I believe he's said it numerous times.

I think Broner is just kinda needy & sh^t. And Floyd ain't that type of cat who likes to hang out with dudes that needs verbal hugging all the damn time (I've seen Floyd 3 times since I've been in Vegas & never was he hanging with any prime Chris Tucker acting mfers like Broner, I think he's been sitting with Badou Jack, a chill mfer himself, twice at fights with bodyguards blocking up his aisle to allow minimal public to f#ck with him).

I also don't think "real life" Floyd is like his public self. He's a chill guy who turns on for cameras. He don't like a lot of drama. Broner lives for drama in boxing & in his "real life" it seems. So their personalities conflict more than people think. These mfers ain't usually gonna be talking on the phone that much.

In fact Floyd seems to have even distanced himself a lil bit from Tank as of late cuz Tank is trying to wild out here & there. Broner & Tank are street kids who grew up doing bs, but could fight too. Floyd was a boxing dork due to his family connection to the sport who LOVED boxing & strived to achieve in boxing the whole time he was in boxing in particular when he was living in poverty in Grand Rapids, MI.

Floyd seemed to have wanted a better life, these street kids like Broner & Tank just want flashy cars, clothes & ***elry. Those things might sound the same & they can definitely look the same, but the mindset is very different.
