Recently that's all I hear when a fighter loses, always an excuse to discredit the winner. Hey maybe the guy you support really isn't as good as you thought and lost to a superior boxer!!! you know it does happen!!
    Give examples Larry!

My fighter didn't lose, it was officialy a draw and 80+% of the analysts and fans had my fighter winning. So STFU.

On the same token, everyone gave Kovalev round 3, which was a mighty close round. I thought Ward nicked it, but as he had been steadied in round 1, and down in round 2 everything was going against him, so there is no way he could compose himself and come back to win the next round right?

I don't like momentum scoring in boxing, every 3 minutes should be scored on its own merit. I'm not going to argue about the score or the result about that fight or any other, but it works both ways. If you want to be a man of principles, at least be down the line.

This is so true!!!!!!! There are certain times when fans are justified to feel aggrieved but recently people will make anything into an fight defining excuse.

Kovalev vs Ward II- blame it on the low blows despite Ward clearly being in control of the fight.

Pacquiao-Horn- blame it on the referee and cry robbery, when in reality Horn just outworked and outhustled Pac in a close fight.

Gonzalez vs SSR I- Blame it on SSR being a dirty fighter when similiar to Horn he outhustled and outworked Roman.

There’s is many more, some much more ridiculous...
and for the record I was rooting for Kovalev, Pacquiao and Gonzalez in those fights. There’s NOTHING WRONG with a fighter losing against legit opposition, the GOAT has 19 losses FFS.

.Edit. If any fanboys get upset by this, don’t quote me. I have no interest in explaining reality.

Fair point. I think Kovalev won the first fight and I still feel he did to this day. But I also understand boxing is a subjective sport and that it was a close competitive fight. It’s not like the judges had it 118-110 Ward, whenever people disagree with a decision they scream robbery. The media are guilty of this too!

The thread title clearly states ‘when a persons favourite fighter loses’

                    When did Golovkin lose?

                    Odd example
