The recent ESPN Deportes where Marquez was talking about it, they said the average person would have trace amounts too, but they are not competitors nor are doing anti-doping. Same way as an average person who isn’t completely Organic will easily have traces of various GMOs, but who cares..

Also, Mexico has 3000+ active boxers and most of them have no relation to advanced drug testing nor would they care about Clen given the facts already presented. Boxing fans are naive in thinking that all Mexican boxers get tested at the level of VADA, which in itself such tests from a lab would be their salary from 5 years.

So to compare anything to Alvarez is not rational. Mexican athletes competing abroad have regiments to monitor their cultural contamination cases. Is there a probability that Canelo would perhaps want to lose weight or try methods to help him before camp 90+ days out, maybe, but highly unlikely. He would be better off doing stuff in the 30-40 day cuttoff, flush everything out, and go, not 80 days out of competition.

Funny how Clenelo Alvaroid nuthuggers defend him, even knowing no boxer eats beef two months before the fight during training camp (except Big Baby Miller)

The next excuse will be, "I swear I never knew that the needle had PED's in it.".
They will say anything to get away with it.

Mexico has Clen in poultry, pork and lamb. Those people eat everything. Some countries eat liver like crazy. Liver tacos in Mexico? Don Mexicans love liver? That’s where most of the concentration would come from.

The majority if meat is not tainted in Mexico. He's a liar. It's a significant amount but not the majority.
                  Taken from the The Blade.

Outside of a cluster of states in central Mexico, it appears unlikely that foreign tourists would feel ill effects from eating beef. Most major supermarkets and restaurant chains buy their beef from 117 large private slaughterhouses with on-site federal inspectors who conduct rigorous testing of meat for contamination. Northern Mexico and coastal resorts also appear free from the taint.

WBC conducted an official investigation and their head doctor concluded it was contaminated meat. Are you a sports doctor? how would you know?

A couple years ago WADA issued a worldwide statement telling athletes not to eat beef from Mexico. Athletes in Mexico and around the world have been avoiding it. If a Mexican soccer player tests positive they'll be suspended until the investigation is complete. They're more careful because they don't get the leeway boxers get. If the WBC suspended boxers until the investigation was complete boxers would also be more careful. Canelo can afford to get his meat shipped in. Even if it did come from contaminated meat it's very irresponsible on Canelo's part.
