Comments Thread For: Manager: Derevyanchenko Wants Big Fights Now, With Anybody

Sergiy Derevyanchenko is growing impatient. The undefeated middleweight contender is 32 years old and knows he needs to start making his mark in the middleweight division as soon as possible. The heavy-handed Ukrainian has just 12 fights, but believes he is more than ready for any 160-pound opponent that is willing to fight him.

    Andrade is a duck:

    December 24, 2017:

Derevyanchenko had hoped to return to the ring last weekend, against fellow unbeaten Demetrius Andrade (25-0, 16 KOs).

According to the Eastern Euro fighter, Andrade was unwilling to go forward - citing that he wasn't given enough time to prepare.

"I was very disappointed when the Demetrius Andrade fight fell apart for December 16, because I had the same amount of time to get ready as he did and I accepted all the terms because I am a fighter and I'm willing to fight anybody, anytime, anywhere,” Derevyanchenko told me through an interpreter, for BoxingScene.com.

Sergey Derevyanchenko is a throwback sort, and that type of fighter can get lost in the shuffle, now and again, because loudness and brashness and noisemaking gets rewarded these days, with social media mud-slinging getting media coverage as much or more than actual in-the-ring action. But the Crimea-born Brooklyn resident is, I think, going to be OK over-all, because his throwback nature means he’s willing and able to lace them up and rumble with no advance notice.

Korobov has been crying around for a fight. Let Derevyanchenko beat up on him for being a social media crybaby.

cant see anyone wanting to fight him, especially considering he has no belt. too high risk and low reward.

Has the andrade fight talks broken down again??

How come Dereyvanchenko feels there's enough money being offered to fight Andrade, but Andrade doesn't feel there is enough money to fight Dereyvanchenko? That tells you who really believes in themselves and who doesn't! Andrade has always had an excuse his entire career not to fight anyone good. HBO needs to terminate his contract and give HBO dates to boxers who are actually interested in earning their spot. If he beat Dereyvanchenko, he would be IBF mandatory and earn bigger money in the future. But he wants big money without ever beating anyone first! What a joke. Andrade the duck! He is the new Adonis Stevenson!

A boxer like Derevyanchenko deserves better opponents, for sure. And his last fight wasn't even televised, as far as I understand... What a shame!

This is the latest I've found through google:

                http://www.************.com/2018/01/...erevyanchenko/

Key excerpt from the article- "it would be surprising if Andrade, 29, accepts the fight with Derevyanchenko, because when he was talking about him recently, he didn’t seem enthusiastic about facing him. Andrade was talking about having a bicep injury, and how he’d like to fight David Lemieux.

So that means he won't fight again until next year. He's a lost cause. EDIT: This site blocks the link, so just google Andrade Derevyanchenko, its from B o x i n g N e w s 2 4 .
