I didnt watch this fight and have no reason to. MIkey is a robotic fighter who relied on size and power. He certainly has a solid jab but is predictable. TC would beat the **** out of him. Heck, put a motivated Indongo in with him and he'd beat him too.

Spence & Crawford present problems with the southpaw stance and good power with high work rates.
However I think he can beat Thurman!
Thurman hasn't stopped anyone in five years and does a hell of a lot of running once the pressure is applied. Now he may speed away from Mickey using his movement but Mickey can be competitive. If he wants a belt at Welter, Thurman's belt is the more probable prize.

      Thurman 5' 7.5" 146 fights at about 156-57lbs /68 reach
      Garcia 5' 6.5" 140 fights at 147-150lbs /67 reach

You saw Keith react to Danny and Mickey is better than Danny.
This could be a good match up.

Mikey looked good, very strong I think. As been mentioned he does look soft at 140lb so probably better off going back to 135lb.

Tough task for Loma at 135lb, but if Loma can take Mikey at 135lb I think many questions will be answered.

But back to Mikey....there is not much to dislike about the guy, he's a beast, perhaps I'd like to see him more mobile, but hey what he is doing works.

Mikey looked great in spurts. I think 135 should be his ceiling. Fight Lomachenko, Easter, probably Davis in the near future, etc. Only move to 140 for big money fights, if any. Stay the hell away from 147 for a long while!

He's brilliant and must be one of the most accurate punchers in the world. It was the accuracy of the shot that put lipinets down because his power is diluted at 140. His best weight is 135.

Good boxing brain and textbook fundamentals. But his power is not as devastating at 140 and likely will be even less so at 147.

Also he is too patient at times, he gives up rounds because he is waiting for the right punches to throw.

He looked good just as he did against Broner. He is 30 and in his late prime. His brother and trainer says 135 is his best weight so why not stay at 135? Why make things harder than they have to be by fighting above his best weight. Winning titles in different weight classes isn't as impressive as being the best at one weight. Broner is proof of that. With 4 different belts in each weight class you can win a title by beating a guy who isn't that good and that is what Mikey just did. Prograis would be a dangerous fight for Mikey and fighting Spence would be a KO loss for Mikey in my opinion. I think he should stay at 135 and fight all worthy challengers. That will be hard and challenging enough.
