Cuz its a known issue with this substance, Clenbutenol, & the meat industry in Mexico.
If they are cheating or not cheating that would be the move so idk that it proves he was cheating or not cheating for it to be brought up by them.
Also logically this wouldn't be the type of substance you'd ideally wanna be using I don't think vs what I know about this substance. This would be a substance you'd wanna take closer to the fight to lean out/make weight or help with endurance on fight night vs using in training camp or pre-training camp even which I think is was the status at the time he was caught.
It could be that he's heavy now too doe. Idk what his weight is these days but if part of his camp is fat camp then it might make sense in that case to get into serious training sooner via Clenbutenol .

Is meat really the only source?
If it because of the many cases of clenbutenol in meat, surely they should have been aware, and it's their fault, seeing how quickly they identified the culprit.
If they knew the meat was contaminated, then why eat it?
Canelo was using, always has been.
Clenbutenol would be the drug of choice to cut so much weight and come in so big.

Even if he was just eating meat, knowing that it has this drug in it and the performance enhancing qualities it will have is cheating.
The thought probably didn't even cross their mind. Just like if you or I were eating down there.
It was only afterwards when it was found in his blood that they realized what likely happened.

An athlete is responsible for what he puts in his body.
He needs to face a 2 year ban from the sport at least.

Then don't eat out on the street and get your meat from known sources. What is stopping any Mexican boxer, just loading up on this meat and doping? And if he gets caught, say it was the meat.
Your excusing this, will allow cheats in the game and endanger boxer's lives.
Like I said, the athlete is responsible and he should get a two year ban
