Idk about a year, but the rest of this year isn't a bad idea or a solid 6mos at a minimum. Hell 6mos might be the right time to get over a bad jaw break (which this sounded like, but idk for a fact) & get back into training safely.

I agree he needs to be learning about 6mos and an easy opp.Someone with no power and good chin so he can get some SAFE rounds.And he just got a couple teeth knocked out jaw not broken.Jeez you know its a tough buis when you say it was JUST a couple teeth lol.

He aint gonna beat any of the top guys in div imo.Selby would have boxed circles around him I think.But not sure taking off that much time maybe an easy one next but he needs to be in gym working on defence and well more defence and improve his distance control(which he is not too bad at).Kids got a good punch and HUGE heart but that's not gonna be enough when he hits top 3-5 guys imo.Love the kid though and he deff don't need another war.Need to find right guy with NO POWER and good chin so he can work on things.

lol If they make a fight ill bet whatever you want.Thats easy work for Selby.He is a very good boxer style ALL wrong for Valdez.Cant see him beating any of top 3 or so he is too easy too hit and gasses because he throws EVERY punch as hard as he can.He does have GOOD power and a GREAT heart but not much else imo.Distance control aint bad either but not great
