I have no dog in this fight...but it says something about weight divisions...

In heavyweight you can have 50lb + disparity in weight. Got to be a solid argument for HW to be THE division for a reason.

And here we are crying about a few lbs this way and that way...

I personally pick an issue not so much with the fact that one is heavier than the other, but only the fact that one guy tries to make weight and the other doesn't, and this is it.

It's all about energy levels. If one guys is in camp trying to get down to weight XXX and the other guy doesn't bother the disadvantage is here, not that one guy is going to re hydrate more than the other.

If you want guys to weight within ~5lb on fight night....what kind of nonsense is that? It should not mater, this is a game of skill.

Cut down the number of divisions and put in strict re-hydration clauses of 5lb or something. This way guys will come in at a natural weight and that is what we want to see.

I like to see good fights, but fans just ride a fighters nuts too much these days, and come up with any excuse to prop their fighter up....
