Browne is the mandatory challenger for titlist Artur Beterbiev (12-0, 12 KOs) and that fight is about to be ordered, and it would go to a purse bid if the sides don’t make a deal. However, Browne has another seemingly more likely option. According to a source with knowledge of the discussions, Browne’s camp is in negotiations with Main Events and HBO about Browne challenging Sergey Kovalev (32-2-1, 28 KOs) for his title in June or July in New York.

Promoter thinks it needs more time to grow into a big fight. They are supposed to appear on the same card in July in separate fights. SMH

I don't recall watching Browne outside of the controversial Kalajdzic fight, so can't say much about him. If they could get Bivol in a decent fight on the same card though, that would be good.

Kovalev isn't getting any younger though, so this Bivol fight can't be too long in the making if they want it.

Id much rather see beterbiev beat on browne but kovalev will do, I might give Browne a small chance with kovalev
