Bread is writing straight facts on this Canelo situation. This is what differentiates the real boxing fans from Canelo groupies. I've seen real Canelo fans on here admit that this doesn't look good and bash him for either possibly being a cheat and at the very least being ******. While others still refuse to accept anything negative said about canelo. If you are part of the latter group, you are NOT a real boxing fan.

Bread, like many boxing fans, I long for boxing to be covered back into the mainstream in regards to the media. However, due to the fact that the premier talking heads are so ignorant to the sport, I almost wish that the coverage remains limited to the youtube grinders like Dontae's boxing and the like. What makes matters worst is that these main stream guys will offer expert opinions as if they are Bert Sugar reincarnated. It's borderline sickening. Stephen A. Smith, was blabbering on his radio show yesterday about Canelo testing positive for Clenbuterol. He had the gall to say, "whatever he tested for doesnt matter to me, just dont screw up my Cinco de Mayo. I need to see this rematch". His take was so asinine that I nearly drove off of the expressway. Here's a guy that hosts a show with Max Kellerman, yet his boxing knowledge is so limited that he would simply dismiss one of the premier stars testing positive for a banned PED because he wants a certain fight to proceed with no impediment. If Giancarlo Stanton is popped for being dirty would he utter the words, "I dont care what he tested positive for, I just want to see him hit home runs." Probably not. He'd most likely hop on his moral high horse and speak about how PEDs are ruining baseball. Absolutely ridiculous....

          Stan from ****inson, TX

Bread’s Response: Max Kellerman is the most well versed premiere sports figure on boxing. Most of the more noticeable figures on ESPN or FOX have expertise in one area and are just knowledgeable in others. For example Shannon Sharpe is a football guy who is really well versed in basketball.

In boxing we only have Max Kellerman. No one else with that level of influence is on Max’s level. I didn’t hear Stephen A. Smith’s comment and I really respect him as far as his basketball knowledge and political stances. But if he said that he’s showing more than ignorance. A man can be seriously hurt in a boxing ring. And to suggest “he just wants to see a fight” does not show empathy for what fighters go through. Again I didn’t see it but I would hope Max corrected him. GGG’s legacy and health is on the line and if GGG decided not to fight he would have a legitimate right not to do so.
This is exactly right. The people that are still pushing so hard for this fight don't give a **** about anyone but their own entertainment. You really wanna see a serious injury or even death? PEDs are no joke and boxing needs to be zero tolerance on their usage.

They need to suspend Canelo and test him for the rest of his career. After Canelo's suspension Golovkin should be given the choice on whether or not he wants to go ahead with the fight, like Wilder with Ortiz.

I totally agree, and I think if GGG was NOT "business man," he would postpone this fight until September, and force Canelo into FULL VADA until September! In the meantime GGG could fight Derevyanchenko or Andrade. However, money talks, so the fight will go on!

One last note, butchers cut meat, they don't raise cattle, or test meat for steroids or other hormones.

Thanks for some minor details about Canelo's suspected use. Didn't realize that was a thing behind the scenes.

cycling is way more harsh with dopers than boxing is. and a cyclist isn't knocking others out with his bike he's just riding that sht up some mountains. for a dangerous sport like boxing to give so much passes and second chances to dopers is disgusting.

Mathias Eggenberger, a golfer, popped dirty for clenbuterol while in Mexico. it was proved it was contaminated meat but guess what he was still sanctioned. he was retroactively DQ'd and had his scores erased.

there is something called strict liability which means an athlete is responsible for whatever is in his system.

Raul Mondesi Jr, a minor leaguer for the Royals popped dirty for clenbuterol after a trip to the D.R. it was proved it was due to an over the counter cold medication. guess what he was punished anyway. Strict liabilty means an athlete must exercise due diligence. he was told he needed to contact team officials before consuming any food, medicine or supplement.

and people love to bring up the Mexican soccer players in 2011. as if that should give an athlete a pass in 2018.

the fact that Canelo was even consuming meat in a highly contaminated area makes him even more guilty and should receive an even harsher punishment. it's called gross negligence. that's of course if the meat story is even true.

this phony "investigation" is already tainted. you already had the WBC and WBA sing his praises and innocence.

the ONLY way to know if the clenbuterol was food derived or illegal doping is a hair sample test. blood and urine at this stage is not proving anything. the clen will be detected in hair for up to three months. in blood and urine only for less than 36 hours.

Canelo was caught cycling and VADA popped up unexpectedly. his clen results were TEN TIMES higher than the cyclist Contador that was banned for two years. for a score like that to come from food means this mofo ate a whole fckin cow less than 36 hours before testing. did they have a big feast that day? don't be fooled by these crooks saying "trace levels".

If GGG/Abel/Loeffler really wanted to put an end to all speculation they would DEMAND hair sample testing. if it was truly food the scores will be very low but if was illegal doping it'll be extremely high. if they say they are content with blood and urine then fans should just stop talking about this topic. if GGG's camp dont give a damn then there's nothing further to talk about.
