Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Expect Joshua To Box in America in Next 12 Months

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), believes his boxer will make his American debut within the next twelve months. Joshua will first attempt to unify with WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker on March 31, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Yea that seems like the next move in the Joshua trajectory.

50% of the revenue for a $80-$90 US PPV is 3-ish times better then 50% of the revenue of a $30 UK PPV so you need 3-ish times less PPV buys than the UK number for the same result so 1.5M UK buys = 500K US buys more or less. And if Joshua can became a major draw in the US & get 1.5M+ then sh^ts gonna get crazy with his popularity & with the money for everyone down with him.

I hate to agree with Hearn but he has a point about not really having to go to America with A.J. he earns the money here but Hearn knows conquering the American market would double the income. My only problem is Hearn will make out that Wilder is out pricing himself and the only option to being forced to fight in America is to keep A.J. safe with the slow and ponderous, inexperienced and basically crap Miller. We all know what 'not so fast Eddie' is up to and that is denying the fans the only Heavyweight fight that at this moment matters.I hope this rat is unable to get away with it.

Las Vegas casino money + US PPV revenue > 90,000 cheap tickets at Wembley.

if Hearn wants to leave all that money on the table then its his choice. It's a dumb move...but it's certainly his choice.

              Doubt it honestly...

Neither of them are well known in US. I doubt they will sell high price tickets well in Vegas. Neither of them are May, Pac or Canelo at least in Vegas.

It wil be much bigger fight in Wembley, considering Joshua is already PPV Star in UK.

This fight will definitely happen in UK, if it ever happens of course.

Wilder can put him in touch with his supplier as part of a fight deal then AJ can join the WBC dirty boxer program to cover it up or better still acquire Wilders manager who'll say hes just a baby heavyweight and then he has 20 fights of bums to go.
