Losing and winning are irrelevant ... Not cheating in a win or lose situation is all I care about..
Knowing how to lose, or taking a loss might be better than winning and bragging about one's self... I'm getting to old and bitter to keep pointing out simple and truthful things, silly and very obvious things...
Peace brother... You are always welcome at my table...Comment

Robbie,
I know you're a well respected poster. But understand the main principal of the art/ sweet science of boxing is making the weight. That's why we have different weight categories. NOT MAKING WEIGHT, GOES AGAINST THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME. Let me let you into the real world of boxing where nothing is guaranteed. No matter how hard & how talented one works or achieve, there are many that don't make it. Lots of time in the early stages a pro fighter with no promter or manager signs the contract for a bout on said date with the agreement of said weight limit. The fighter now trains his A$$ off & goes on a rigorous diet with the intention of making weight on the agreed date on the contract. The fighter makes weight & obeys the rules. The fighter has so many family & friends etc. Now the opponent cannot make weight. So now it is up to the fighter & or manager to make a decision on whether to fight under these new conditions. It is hard decision for a boxer to turn down the bout hence there are many people that came to see him fight. The boxer finally decides to fight. Bear in mind that the opponent was 2-3 lbs over the limit. So after he hydrates he is 12 -15 lbs heavier. The results is a the opponent wins by KO IN 3rd round. Think about it for a sec, if the fighter was able to make the weight & the opponent couldn't, most likely it's because the opponent is much bigger & should be campaigning at at the next heavier division. I've seen this happened many times. The opponent should've been forced to make weight or cancel the fight.Comment

The majority of fighters that fail to make weight do not plan to not make it. When they sign the fight they have every intention to make weight but just find it impossible. I don't believe these fighters should be punished with year bans. With bans like that you're going to force fighters to dehydrate to very dangerous levels to make weight which could put them at serious risk.Robbie,

Tell me why did they allow the fight to happen but then ban the fighter afterwards? Why not just prevent the fight? Seems to me this is a rule more for promoters, they don't care about fighters health as long as the show goes on.Comment

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat???? thats crazy
but either way:
yea we can only wish that happens.....In order to make the disposition effective, the JBC issued their decision to the other boxing sanctioning bodies and requested their support and cooperation to quickly incorporate regulation for fines and penalties for not making weight to prevent this type of incident in the future.
imo usually its IBF thats weight strict but they should all be that way vs peds tooComment
