he still has a chance to get a stoppage just because you dont think he can possibly do it shouldnt be the reasoning behind the stoppage. Thats just plan and ****** and is a robbery in a different sense.

There isn't much reason to let a guy who's losing, who's probably gonna lose & who's taking a beating &/or being dropped repeatedly while losing in a whatever fight to get his a$$ beat for more rounds. I consider this no different then the mercy rule in low level baseball games. If this was a bigger championship level fight I might be more against it, but as is I don't love it yet I get it.

Its a fight and has to play out, simple as that. Once you start injecting yourself off what you believe what he can or cant do its just a way of robbing a fighter of a chance to come back. Whos to say dude wont fade late like he did last time and petrov is able to impose his will and get the stoppage? no one knows it CAN happen but since someone thinks he cant do it that chance is stolen from the fighter. I think only the corner or doctor should be able to stop it off whatever they see or think but a ref should only be able to stop it to protect a fighter from IMMEDIATE danger.

I'd only see it as a robbery if he was competitive. The reality is comebacks don't happen THAT much in the first place. This ain't Rocky. Dude got dropped like 4 times. It was in the 8th round. Its kinda sh^tty for him, but 98% of the time he was just taking further damage for no good reason.
