Is Ivan Baranchyk a future p4p star?

He reminds me of Kostya Tszyu in many ways. Great jab, great right hand, and killer instinct. Things are heating up in the 140 pound division.

Not even close. Way too wild. Going 12 rds with bums. Kostya was one of the best technicians in the world with a deep amateur pedigree.

That guy is just plain wicked. His punches are so fast and heavy with all his weight and power behind them.He is a lightning fast bomb thrower. He has improved a lot since the last time I saw him fight.

I've not seen last night's fight yet, so maybe I'm missing something, but who are these 12 round bums? Petrov's a solid dude and a decent step up for Baranchyk and stopping him in 8 (per Boxrec) is a decent achievement. Now he is a bit wild and comparisons with Kostya are definitely a step too far, but to say '12 rds with bums' probably paints an unfair picture, especially when he never has been 12 rounds with a bum or otherwise. Kid's a decent prospect in my book.

This guy is gonna get lit up when he steps up in competition. Wild with no defense. That power won't matter when he can't land those haymakers on a top guy.
