Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Canelo's Team Should Have Known, This is Outrageous!

Even with the positive drug test of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs), unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) says he still prefers for their highly lucrative rematch to take place on May 5th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Mental warfare..... Most fighters release a statement this far out from the fight...this has to be the 6th article in 24hrs! Let the athletic commission get to the bottom of it or walk away, but please, your team is coming off as whiners at this point...start camp, or walk away from the fight

Canelo and his supporters on this show you they are the biggest frauds in boxing. Anyone that can ridicule Pac Man just for pictures yet support this crybaby needs to be silent on boxing threads. Go away.

GGG Should Put his $ Where His Mouth is & Pull Out of Fight

If GGG and Abel are so outraged about Canelo's test then they should just pull out of the fight. Wilder set a precedent of doing such things when an opponent tests positive for something so GGG pulling out of this rematch would be understood since that is what fighters tend to do now. If they are so seriously outraged then it is their duty to pull out of this rematch immediately.

If GGG does not pull out of the fight and stays in then he and Able need to just shut their mouths and stop all the melodramatic phony outrage.

I agree. Either do something or forget about it.
Canelo is a cheater but if you agree to fight him anyway then you clearly are complacent.

Reporters will be reporters, but this could also just be boxingscene being boxingscene which loves to derive 50 articles from a single interview.
