Never thought of it like that. But why can it only be on certain dates? There has to be a way this fight can be made without competing against this or asking networks to cancel that, etc. Me thinks Arum is being a ****.

ARum said he and ESPN worked this date out and that Loma is fighting on it because of the NBA playoff schedule and other things on ESPN's schedule.

I think Arum is holding on to the date because no Linares means Beltran/Loma which is an in house fight he makes all the dough on.

Yup arum is dead set on the date cause loma will fight Beltran if no deal is made

Beltran would be better than Rigondeaux II but it would be frustrating that Loma will have gone more than 5 months without a fight when he wants to fight 3-4 times and this ESPN deal is supposed to enable that. Kind of like Crawford is now sitting on 7 months off and they still haven't announced the Horn fight.

This is by design though. Arum has the May 12 date penciled in a while ago according to ESPN.

So maybe this Linares thing is just smoke and mirrorsand is another case of Bob floating a top name while planning the blow out all along.

Well if GGG vs Canelo gets cancelled, which i dont think is likely but we have many weeks to go and many testing for the ginger to take.
