Was it the catchweight or being clean that made Canelo look like **** vs Floyd?

I think he looked like **** because he was fighting Mayweather. The Floyd fight is probably the only fight Canelo was actually clean and he looked horrible. Slow sluggish and out of breath.
At first people blamed the catchweight for draining Canelo but it was only like a pound less than what he normally weighs on weigh ins.
Now with this news I tend to think that was the only time he caught clean.Comment

Alvarez's style was tailor made for Mayweather. You don't play the low output counterboxer style with Floyd Mayweather and win.
Catchweight likely didn't help, but drugs or not he was made for Floyd.Comment

No it was just Floyd and Canelo had no prob makin 152 at that time even his trainer said so AFTER.Boy people really go to lenghs to discredit Floyd smdh. The Floyd fight is probably the only fight Canelo was actually clean and he looked horrible. Slow sluggish and out of breath.

According to Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez, Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) has undergone random testing administered by VADA or the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for his past 12 fights dating to his 2012 decision win over Shane Mosley.
"He's been tested many times and never had findings, nothing. And every fight they test him 10, 15 times, at least a dozen times," Gomez said. "This is something Canelo insists on it. We're very confident that everything is going to be fine."
Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, who is in training for his mega rematch with unified middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin, has tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol.
Now, I know for the Liam Smith fight, they had agreed to the testing, but it got right up to the fight and Smith pulled out of it apparently. But other than that, it appears Canelo has undergone real ped testing for every other fight since Mosley.
It wasn't the weight, and it wasn't lack of roids. It was facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. Canelo sure didn't look like a world-beater against Lara either. Boxers, guys with lots of movement, defense, and counters make everyone look like crap. Canelo is a good boxer/puncher. Floyd was probably the greatest pure boxer ever. That is why Canelo looked like crap. Nothing to do with Canelo and everything to do with his opponent.Comment

Bingo catchweight was a joke if Floyd really wanted an advantage he would have asked for 150 and he would have got it.It was a matter of Floyd being arrogant and wanting to show who's boss that came back to bite him.As now the haters can say he used catchweights too and also like he had advantage with Canelo.Canelo AND his trainer BOTH said 152 was no problem and that was AFTER.And the fact he could still make 54 4years later I think shows that.He had just come up from 47 not long before fight with Floyd.Comment

Great points esp the last ones.Damn people will do anything to discredit Floyd.Canelo fails a test and somehow its a black eye for Floyd smdh.According to Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez, Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) has undergone random testing administered by VADA or the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for his past 12 fights dating to his 2012 decision win over Shane Mosley.

Zombienelo looked terrible at the weigh ins. He was certainly very drained and looked feeble.
If he was doping for the fight he would have looked better.
Floyd might have been doping but he's better at covering it up than Canelo.Comment

Canelo looked emaciated against Floyd, but come fight night he was fine. Cotto looked the same way against Pac when he had to come in at 145. People say that it's only a pound, but in the boxers world those lbs make a big difference. Fortunately Cotto and Canelo didn't fight like drained fighters. I think that you must mean that it was the only time that Canelo "fought" and not "caught" clean. What's your evidence that he's fought dirty on other occassions? The Floyd fight is probably the only fight Canelo was actually clean and he looked horrible. Slow sluggish and out of breath.
