Brook has skilz, and he did do a good job of boxing Spence initially. I can ONLY imagine how a broken eye socket must feel, then to have the 2nd one weakened & broken from the 1st one (which is probably the case from the narrow bone inbtwn the eyes sockets & above the bridge of the nose). I'm not totally sold on Spence against a tough good "boxer"......and him wanting Canelo (who is turning out to be a bonafide "boxer" in his own right) is ridiculous - and maybe just as dumb as Brook taking on Golovkin!......Brook might never be the same or even grow to be a better fighter due to those injuries. Can those things fully heal in a sport such as this?? I don't think so.....maybe a little too brave for his own good..

People here bashing brook for saying that without verifying the facts, brook as he stated before was havinf a really tough time to make the welterweight limit before he accepted the ggg fight, he fought @ middleweight, had surgery and immediatelly after that had to go down to welter, talk about sacrifice to get to the weight you previously had problems to get, even after all that, he gave spence problems in the first half of the fight, he even wobbled spence a couple of times until all those negatives and his other eye gave up, taking into consideration that both surgically repaired eyes are healthy and can take more damage due to are repaired with metal, plus he does not have to sacrifice too much to make rhat weight, which equals to better stamina plus more body weight to better handle the punches, I do see the possibility of brook winning against spence. Is not like spence completely dominated brook from start to finish like he has done most of his opponents.

These lose a fight that wasn't close and talking about rematch. I don't want see Thurman vs Porter, Thurman vs Garcia, or Spence vs Brooks. Brooks lost cause he couldn't take that pressure. Yes! He was winning but he couldn't and he didn't want to finish.
It isn't hard at all to envision a scenario of brook beating Spence.
But he does sound a bit ****** saying this after being stopped.

Good post.
I'm not saying i think brook beats spence in a rematch, but it isn't hard at all to envision a scenario where he would, based on the first fight, and all the factors.

After being beaten pillar to post, not a chance Brook will be competitive in that division anymore. He should just move on.
