Comments Thread For: Quigg: I Believe Valdez Took Servania Lightly, Expected Stoppage

Oscar Valdez's unimpressive performance against Genesis Servania surprised Scott Quigg. The former WBA super bantamweight champion expected Valdez to stop Servania. The then-unknown Filipino was undefeated (29-0), but he isn't considered a puncher (12 knockouts), was unproven against championship-caliber opposition and had spent most of the previous seven years boxing within the 122-pound division.

I totally agree. I dont think Roach could do anything 4 him, the better sparring may have helped though. As long as Valdez keeps his hands up on the way out, he should shut him out til the stoppage.

I know your joking but to be serious that is a justifiable question about any fighter training in Mexico now unless they are in testing and test clean.
