He proved beyond doubt that he is up there with a prime Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. It remains to be seen how much Fury has left so the fight to make is Joshua/Wilder. Stylistically I would favour Wilder. Joshua obviously has the edge when it comes to hype and marketability.
I don't get people who hate on Wilder for wanting to fight the best. The reality is Wilder is ready and waiting, but he will have to wait for Matchroom to make him an acceptable offer. His people just don't have the clout or money to stage the fight.
We must all wait until Eddie Hearn is willing to put the fight together. I suppose the demand and reward will have to counterbalance the risk, or the fight will never be made.
The question is, could Joshua defend against a list like, David Haye, Kubrat Pulev, Jarrell Miller, Dillian Whyte II and make close to £100m? Then take on Fury in a UK megafight and ride off into the sunset? Does he even need Wilder? How far would his stock fall with a concussive KO loss to Wilder on his record and no titles?
