Comments Thread For: WBC Prez To Critics: Canelo Has Our Absolute Vote of Confidence

World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman has given Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) his vote of confidence, with respect to the ongoing controversy regarding the Canelo's failed drug tests - which showed traces of banned performance enhancing drug clenbuterol.

"I'm giving Canelo the benefit of the doubt. He has never previously tested positive for anything and he`s been in the Clean Boxing Program for many years. He has our absolute vote of confidence," Sulaiman said.

What kinda of **** is that to say? How can you 100% say he's innocent a lot people tested clean before. You don't have to say hes guilty but to be this unprofessional. With this statement any investigation would do ****.

I wish this site had some decent journalists with investigate skill.
Perhaps then they might write a decent article that has been properly researched, instead of always 'this person say that, that person says this' crap.
A lot of the time instead attaching a journalist name to the article, they put 'boxing clever' or 'random hits' because it's just garbage.

Here is an example of a website NOT having a 'conflict of inetrest'

Why isn't there thought provoking stuff here instead of GBP and Top Rank propaganda?
Who the f-- owns boxing scene? cos that might answer a lot of questions!

This is pathetic. I understand the whole ‘innocent till proven guilty’ of course, because that’s how all issues should be solved. But this isn’t that...this is organisations and teams coming out immediately stating they believe the innocence rather than waiting for resolution or clarity.

Jumping in to defend a man when they should be impartial. It’s embarassingly corrupt.

‘He’s been fine in the past so we think he is now’ is basically that reaction. What so therefore we can all act shady once or twice as long as most of the time we are decent guys? BS.

This just shows the state of the way Canelo is cradled in the arms of the bigger picture. They want him to be the face of the sport so so bad.

So Canelo has never tested positive before but now that he is facing a tough and hard hitting guy he is 'injesting contaminated meat'? The guy has been claiming 'this time I will knock out GGG' because he knew what this 'meat' was all about. We do not buy this rubbish. If Canelo was Russian he would have been suspended.

                  Jesus Christ what a embarrassment

Canelo should have a ban like the rest of the drug cheats caught out

                  Disgusting

Impartiality, the same impartiality that the organisations should be showing rather than backing the money man of the sport to the hilt over the clean Eastern European.

                    It’s pathetic, but hey it’s boxing !
