I'm not sure Chavez Jr when he was more serious about boxing back in those Sergio/Andy Lee days would have lasted against a guy like Benavidez. Benavidez offensively is a bad mfer & his on that energizer rabbit bs that is just gonna overwhelm JCC Jr sooner or later.

And hardcore's who've been sleeping on him & mainstream fans who know JCC Jr, but not Benavidez in general I'd say. But yup thats all this is about as its not a compelling or interesting fight in anyway to me & seems like many are feeling likewise.

He's been phoning it in collecting checks since that Sergio Martinez fight I've thought more or less. He doesn't even seem serious.

And I feel like Benavidez is a young unpolished future HOFer. Granted I'm super optimistic about Benavidez, but he's still shown more potential in his young career then Chavez Jr has shown recently & arguably his whole career.
