It's unfortunate because Canelo has never tested positive; his handlers, nutritionists, and so forth know about the meat problems there, so clearly they've known how to avoid it for nearly 50 fights. Maybe he did take the drug and just figured it would be out of his system by testing. We don't know YET. Since he tested dirty and claims it was the meat, he should just submit to the hair follicle test since it can go back 6 months and show different levels, to clear his name. Or it won't clear his name. Again, if he's been using this to strip weight while keeping muscle and to not gas later in fights like he had been and then all of a sudden stopped, you'll see it in his build at weigh-ins and in stamina on fight night (since supposedly they're going to test the sh *t out of him now up to the fight and during the investigation). Just a really tough sell on this one for the high end food these guys get in training camp, especially an A-level fighter like him.

Looks like Golovkin believes the tainted meat was at fault.

I read that as him saying he doesn’t really believe it, as in: It’s an existing issue and their team are world class and know about it, so what are the odds of falling for it.

Its used to cut weight, its a stimulant, similar to ephedra. Its not surprising that fighters known to struggle with weight get positive results for it, morales got a positive test too. Its not a steroid but is a banned substance. Its not that big of a deal, they shouldnt even test for it or ban it.

To be fair I think it was only recently banned??? The most su****ious part about it is its for Stamina??? And thats Pednelos biggest weakness???
