    Good read as always!

I love the 4 fight clinch limit per round. And I used to hate seeing guys clinch and then flop all their weight on the smaller guy until the ref. Broke it up... Thats like litterly fighting with a flak jacket stuffed with weights on. It would wear anyone down.

UZI impressed me as well! IMO hes the second best 168lber. And I think would beat Grooves

Grooves is like Saunders. Everyone is blowing the Eubank/Lemuix wins way out or proportion. Good, solid wins but their still not the best in their divisions.

        Weigh

Same day "weigh in" should be back in boxing. Midgets will beat Cheaters to earn more dollars.

Agreed. Great read! I haven't seen anyone mention this, but UZI made Dirrell QUIT!! That was a way bigger quit-job than Ortiz or anything I have seen. (Maybe not the guys who quit against No-Mas-Chenko, but still). Dirrell has a heart the size of a mouse. Big props to UZI for making him quit.

Great mail bag, Wilder, Bivol, and as Bread coined the Uzi all did remarkable. What a great night for fans. Something about Kovalev looked vulnerable Saturday. You could even here lampley shifting allegiance to Bivol based on what we saw. Sullivan Barrera is a beast of a contender but he can’t seem to get past that last elite stair. Dirrell May be the biggest under achiever I have seen in this generation. He has timing speed and reflexes but he fights like he dreads his job. He is just a head case that seems to carry a dark cloud into every fight. I don’t see a continuous will to win and it feels like he always ends up in some highly unlikely controversy. The controversy is real and not his fault however it just feels like some how he is attracting it. Forget a new trainer he needs a psychologist to validate his objectives in boxing. Right now he just really seems to be going through the motions.

Wilder is the new Foreman. clumsy uncoordinated technique with superhuman power. Wilder was cautious of Ortiz counters that's why he didn't throw the right as much early on. that showed his IQ. he didn't just force it. but Wilder is conscious of the fact all he needs is land just ONE clean right to shift momentum in his favor. he knows that. Ortiz is still the most technical, fluid and skilled HW in the game. we all saw why AJ ducked him. smart move.

Kovalev is still the man at 175 until further notice. the winner of Jack/Stevenson should face him next.

Benavidez will sweep 168. sig it.

Dirrell was a disappointment. I remember I picked him to win the Super Six. time flies. but Virgil Hunter is overrated AF. the way Virgil behaved was a disgrace for a so called master motivator. he didn't even bother going to the ring to speak to his fighter face to face. just barking from a distance. atrocious display. I'm sure that futher demoralized Dirrell. Uzcategui came on his A game he would've beaten any version of Dirrell that night.

Roy Jones is overrated AF. Hopkins was green in 1993. James Toney was drained. his best win in the 90's was Montell Griffin who was coming in with two wins over Toney. then moves up and beats Ruiz, the weak link at HW. easy pickings. then spends almost 15 years being a journeyman.

                ...

                great mailbag.

I'm surprised your all red I agree with most of what you posted but think your a little hard on Roy.Now this is weird for me as I'm always on the other side of this(dealing with Roy fanboys who think he is greatest of last 30 years or so)but he should get credit where its due.1st off if Toney was drained he would not have lasted the distance. You wanna see Toney dead at weight watch the Tiberi fight. And B-hop was prob a little pre prime but so was Roy.And he also CLEANED out 75 besides one guy D Mich. And the diffence between DeValle,Johnson,Tellesco,Harding,Griffen and a still good V Hill AND D Mich was very little.
