I swear everyone was ready to crucify Ortiz and saying the fight was rightfully cancelled...but it seems people take canelo's excuse at face value and want the fight to go ahead.

Who is taking Canelo's excuse at face value? I'm not seeing it.

He is getting his ass kicked on here, but there's a fair share of posters defending him, and buying the tainted meat story.

There might be one or two, but they'll be posters you can never take seriously. Wilder on the other hand got majority of the blame on here for the fight not happening back then.

First off, everyone seems very su****ious of Canelo. There are about 10 different threads already about Canelo being a cheat. Second, the tainted meat story is plausible. It is supposedly possible to eat meat with whatever this is in it, especially in Mexico. They allege the level is consistent with contaminated meat and not with cheating. So it is possible Canelo did not cheat.

For Ortiz or anyone else on blood pressure meds or any other meds, there are forms you fill out where you list the medications you take. That way as long as it is legit and the levels are at the prescribed amount, the testing people know. Why the hell would anyone not list all the meds they are legitimately taking??? I know boxers aren't the smartest bunch, but they ask you what meds you take specifically so no one gets in trouble for not wanting a stroke. Even if it wasn't cheating, a fighter should be suspended or even banned for life, for showing such dramatic brain injury that they risk half a million dollars and his entire career by being too lazy to write down Clenbuterol or whatever it is.

It probably didn't help that he was caught before too. But just from a scientific standpoint, both excuses are plausible...but bet that Canelo vs ggg will go ahead and all the powers that be will ride with that excuse.

Ortiz has already failed multiple drug tests for steroids and been suspended so folks were dubious when he failed yet another drug test. Canelo has a clean history no failed tests and then got caught with small traces consistent of tainted meat and he lives in apparently the tainted meat capital of the world. lol

If you go to court and you have a wrap sheet you are repeat offender you are treated more harshly. That's life.

No one brought Ortiz excuse because for one that was his second time, and his excuse of not informing the authorities what he was taking doesn’t make sense. Just like Canelo tainted meat excuse, that excuse doesn’t make any sense.
